Wensleydale

Every so often a Farmer will phone up and say "I've got these sheep and the wife thinks their fleece is something special." For anyone with a wife you'll know they are usually right and that will apply even if they are not. Whilst us farmers see sheep with long wool as a problem (they roll over, get stuck with the weight and die) the wife this time was spot on.

Wensleydale is a luxurious soft long fleece of waves and curls. This one has been skirted and cleaned and is a very good example of the breed. 

The fleece is good to spin into art yarns, for use in needle felting and for dolls hair type projects.
