July 2016
So what's new in GF land?
The orders got found!
A consignment of orders were left at the delivery shop who then left them in the shop until we went yesterday and asked what had happened to them - they got found in a back corner behind a sweet delivery that had come in between us dropping off and the van guy picking them up. Anyone expecting an order from mid June - it will be with you in the next couple of days. Anyone to whom we sent a duplicate order - enjoy - and we are hugely sorry for the delay.
Please though we try very hard to get the orders out as quickly as they come in. If you think you're waiting a huge amount of time and it hasn't arrived please get in touch. There is always an explanation and we always find out what happened to your fleece or without question will send replacement items.
New In

Devon Guild Fleece Fair 2016
On Saturday July 9th we'll be at America's
Hall in Pinhoe, Exeter at the Devon Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers Fleece Fair.
It's an annual event that is open to everyone. Come and have a look, talk to producers, workshops and demo's not to mention lashings of great tea and cake. Explore Exeter's wool trail, have a look at the new Customs House on the Quay where all our wool was sent out overseas and Tuckers Hall - the home of our Livery Company. Exeter was once the richest city on the back of Devon's wool trade -its brilliant buzzing and vibrant - come and check it out.
Wool Fest South West 2017
A partnership of wool addicts, including us and others working in wool in Devon and its neighbouring counties are organising Wool Fest South West 2017 to be held in Exeter. Its the opportunity to create "the" wool fest offer for the South West as there is no festival here that can rival those that happen elsewhere in the country yet the market is huge, the landscape glorious and the history spot on. With sponsorship and endorsement from some of the best high street stores this will be a new kind of festival that showcases wool in all its gloriousness. If you'd like to know more, would like to exhibit, have installations to showcase or workshops to take to a wider world do get in touch.
The Wool Craft Club
We have started our first Wool Craft Club in North Tawton. Last week 15 ladies (and one baby ferret) came and made woolly goodness, ate cake and made plans for the future. The group has a vision and you'll find out how it looks early September.
